shared stories counseling, llc
I’m so glad you’re here. My hope is to support you while you identify your goals, deepen your understanding of your values, and take your power back from the problems that try to get in your way. While I integrate several relational, cognitive and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities into my practice, my experience with Narrative Therapy significantly informs how I position myself as a therapist. Narrative Therapy was built on the belief: “The person is not the problem, the problem is the problem!” I believe it is possible to unlearn the painful, inaccurate, and problem-saturated stories you’ve internalized about yourself that are keeping you stuck.
Additionally, I offer specialized treatment for adults affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CPT is a structured evidenced-based approach that teaches you how to evaluate and change your thoughts in order to improve how you feel following traumatic events. After certification in 2025, I will also begin offering EMDR to those who may benefit from an exposure-based intervention.
While staying close to my own values of curiosity, respect and empathy, I aim to create accessible, non-pathologizing and culturally responsive spaces for my patients of all races, cultures, sexualities, genders, sizes, and abilities.
I accept Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim and private pay for individual therapy sessions. I do not accept insurance for couple’s therapy session. If you pay out of pocket and hope to utilize your Out of Network Benefits, Superbills are available upon request.
Lastly, not every therapist is right for every client. Let's connect to find out if my practice is right for you!
